The Estate

Fall in love with this magical place

In addition to the four historic main buildings, exemplifying the heritage and architecture of the estate, it is the extensive parkland that forms the true heart of the Adara Palmiet Valley Hotel. The impressive tree population, parts of which are over 200 years old, whispers the stories of days long past and gives the property its unique charm. Enchanting guava trees imported from Madeira more than two centuries ago frame the park, inviting guests to enjoy the serenity of nature during a stroll around the 16-hectare property.

The old oak trees that surround the park not only provide a majestic backdrop, but also serve as ideal nesting sites for owls. A pair of owls have even made their home here, raising their young every year and providing guests a rare and fascinating glimpse of nature.

Nature and architecture

It is almost magic, the way the park frames the historic buildings and creates a harmonious blend of nature and architecture. This oasis of relaxation offers space for contemplation and serenity. Every step through the garden is a step through history, inviting you to pause for a moment and take in the surroundings in all their splendour.

Wind down in the evening with an unforgettable view of the majestic Paarl Mountains and the sunset in the distance. Treat yourself to an aperitif while the colours of the sky blend into the mountain landscape and the day draws to a close with a fascinating display of colour.
